Use Of The WhatsApp Application By Dentistry Students From Sao Paulo, Brazil

Abstract

Current technological advances entail new forms of communication, interactivity and behavior, which have helped in the learning process and the exchange of information in contemporary society. The use of this technology, based on its multimedia resources and the popularization of smartphones , can be a great ally in the learning process and professional decision-making. The objective of this article is to evaluate the importance and use of the WhatsApp application in the educational area, with postgraduate students in Dentistry of the Paulista Association of Dental Surgeons, in the city of São Paulo, Brazil. The method used in this research was a survey. The data were collected through an electronic questionnaire or e-research . The instrument was sent via WhatsApp and was developed for 42 professionals who participated in the study. The WhatsApp application proves to be of great help as a study tool and in aiding decision making.
